Looking for some fun and festive ways you can market your dance studio this year? Look no further, we’ve got you covered.
1. Christmas Light Switch On
Got a Christmas light switch-on? Get your dance studio students all together.
If you can, see if you and your school can do a performance before the big switch-on. If this is off the cards, why not get your students together, asking them to wear their uniforms or something branded, and treat it as a fun social outing for them? Not only will this build relationships among the students, but it will also help you to promote who you are and make you memorable to the general public, too.
2. Send Christmas Cards Christmas cards
Everyone loves a Christmas card. Why not get a Christmas card printed this year, using photos from your dance studio, and send them to local schools, clubs, shops, pubs, hairdressers, and anywhere that your demographic may be frequenting?
The Christmas card can be simple, with just your logo and well wishes, or you can include a New Year trial sign-up link.

3. Gift Cards
This would especially work if you wanted to sell gift cards for your merchandise. Or, if you offer drop-in classes for students or adults.
You can market these gift cards in-house or via your social media page. “Give the gift of dance this Christmas with our dance studio gift card.” — people can use it to pay for adult lessons, drop-in classes, and merchandise.
A great way to encourage new people through your doors and to generate additional revenue.
4. Awards Night
Hosting an awards night, either in December or in the New Year, is a great way to highlight your dancers, teachers, and, of course, any volunteers who have gone above and beyond.
The awards night can have prizes, shout-outs, dancing, photo booths, and more to make it feel like a glam and glitzy night, and it’s, again, a great way to make your dance studio feel like a family—and something to be part of.
(We talk about this more over on our sister site, Stage Stubs, in our blog posts “Why every dance studio should host an awards night’ and ‘9 things to do when planning an awards night’.)

5. Themed Dance Classes
Nothing captures the excitement of Christmas more than hosting themed dance classes. If you run these outside of your normal scheduled classes, it’s a great way to let the students get their Christmas excitement out without impacting their normal lessons—especially if they’re prepping for shows or events.
Not only is this a great way for students in various classes to meet, but it’s also an opportunity to generate additional revenue for you.
6. Candle Lighting/ Remembrance Evening
Christmas brings excitement and celebration, but it can also be a tender time for people dealing with loneliness or grief. Creating a small reflection space in your studio or hosting a candlelighting evening can offer a moment of comfort and connection. Invite your dance family, or even your wider community, to come together in support and remembrance.
7. Bring a Friend Day
Word of mouth is one of the strongest ways to grow your dance studio. Why not make the most of it by holding a Bring-a-Friend Open Day? You can run fun, informal activities—like mini dance classes, group choreography challenges, or dance-themed games.
Ask your students to bring a friend, and before they head home, make sure guests are added to your email list so you can stay in touch. It’s a friendly, low-pressure way to introduce new families to your studio and encourage future enrolments.

8. Community Dance Workshops
The Christmas break is the perfect time to offer a low-cost community dance workshop. You could visit local schools and care homes before Christmas, or hold a workshop at your studio during the holidays to give parents an easy activity option for their children.
It’s a welcoming way for the community to try your classes and see your teaching style in action, all in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.
