About David Elcoate
David comes from a Personal Training background, bringing 25+ years of experience in fitness, Osteopathy, and Physiotherapy. He danced quietly in school and college (ballet and street!) and has run his own Personal Training business, so he knows what it takes to manage people and grow a business. He now works with new and established business owners to get the most from Class Management software, improving efficiency and supporting sustainable growth. With a practical, engaging approach, David combines his teaching, fitness, and business expertise to give clients the tools and confidence to move to the next stage.
What’s your experience in dance and the fitness industry?
3 years working at Class Manager, helping and working with dance studio owners. It's also a well-hidden secret that I used to dance back in school and college, so 4 years of training in both ballet and street dance. This led me to the gym, fitness, Osteopathy, and Physiotherapy, which I have 25+ years of experience in.
How many years of managing or running a dance studio do you have?
Dance, none. I ran my own Personal Training business when I first started back in Essex. I started in the gym, then expanded out into my own premises until I moved to Devon.
What qualifications do you have that are useful in the industry?
MSc Osteopathic Medicine, BSc Sports Science, NSCA - Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Exercise to Music, Circuits, Level 3 & 4 Medical Exercise Referral Specialist.
